Adobe Creative Cloud and Products

Introduction

            All full-time members of Daytona State College’s faculty and staff are eligible to obtain, install, and use Adobe Inc.’s Creative Cloud software as provided by the institution. Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription-based collection of premium products from Adobe Inc.’s lineup of software applications. 

            The purpose of this article is to provide an abridged version of the complete guide, Daytona State College Technology Guide - Adobe Creative Cloud and Products 4-2026 to full-time faculty and staff of Daytona State College with instructional documentation pertaining to the installation and use of Adobe Inc.’s Creative Cloud software and the products available from it.  The complete, unabridged guide is available for download in .PDF format on this article. 

            Please note that this article is for Daytona State College Full-Time Faculty use only. Due to Daytona State College’s policies and Adobe Inc.’s licensing policies regarding the distribution of Adobe Creative Cloud and the products available from it, only full-time faculty are eligible to obtain, install, and use college-provided premium Adobe products. Part-time staff, such as adjunct faculty, are not eligible to obtain, install, or use college-provided premium Adobe products.

Installation

For Microsoft Windows-Based Devices

            For Daytona State College-issued devices running Microsoft’s Windows 11 Education operating system, the process of installing Adobe Creative Cloud can be performed using the following steps:

  1. Power on and log into the Windows-based device using your appropriate Daytona State College-issued Credentials. Please remember that the user installing Adobe Creative Cloud and its software must be a full-time member of Daytona State College’s staff.
  2. Select the “Search” bar on the Windows Taskbar on the Desktop. In Microsoft Windows 11, it is commonly found to the right of the “Start” button on the Taskbar. Type in the words “Company Portal” into the search bar. Whilst typing, an option for Company Portal should appear in the search results. Click on the “Company Portal” option. 
  3. After selecting the “Company Portal" option, a program window for Company Portal will open on the screen. If a program window for Microsoft Intune appears and prompts for a username to login, the end user can access Company Portal using their standard Daytona State College-Issued Credentials.
  4. Once Company Portal has been accessed, navigate to and select the option labeled “Apps”. Under the “Apps” Page, navigate to and select the option labeled “Adobe Creative Cloud – Self Service – x64”. After selecting the option for Adobe Creative Cloud under the “Apps” Page, navigate to and select the “Install” button. Company Portal will begin to download and install the software onto the device
  5. Once the installation has successfully completed, Adobe Creative Cloud will be ready to use.

Apple macOS-Based Devices

           For Daytona State College-issued devices running Apple Inc.’s macOS operating system, the process of installing Adobe Creative Cloud can be performed using the following steps:

  1. Power on and log into the macOS-based device using your appropriate Daytona State College-issued Credentials. Please remember that the user installing Adobe Creative Cloud and its software must be a full-time member of Daytona State College’s staff.
  2. Once signed in, navigate the mouse pointer to the Dock the bottom of the screen. Navigate to and select the icon that has the appearance of Daytona State College’s blue and white logo. This icon is for the Daytona State College Self Service+ application available on all college-issued macOS-based devices.
  3. After selecting the “Self Service+” icon, the Daytona State College Self Service+ application will open to its default “Home” page. Navigate to and select the “Catalog” option on the upper left side of the program window.
  4. On the “Catalog” page, navigate to and select the “All” option under the “Categories” list. In the “All” page, navigate to and select the “Install” button adjacent to the “Adobe Creative Cloud” option.
  5. Once installation is complete, the installed software is ready to use. Navigate to and select the icon for the Launchpad and search for the “Adobe Creative Cloud” icon. Afterwards, navigate to and select the “Adobe Creative Cloud” icon.  

Installation of Adobe Products from Creative Cloud

           Regardless of the device used, the process for downloading and installing applications from Adobe Creative Cloud remains the same and can be achieved using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to and select the Adobe Creative Cloud icon. As mentioned in the previous chapter, the icon for Adobe Creative Cloud will be represented by a multicolored icon with a minimalistic cloud illustration inside. The icon will also be labeled “Adobe Creative Cloud”.
  2. Once opened, Adobe Creative Cloud will prompt the end user for a username and password for an Adobe Creative Cloud account. Please note that these credentials are the same credentials used to access Daytona State College’s computer services. 
  3. Upon signing into Adobe Creative Cloud, the user will be greeted with the “Home” page for Adobe Creative Cloud. Navigate to and select the “Apps” option on the “Home” page, navigate to and select the “Install” button associated with the desired software, a pop-up window will appear in the upper right corner of the Adobe Creative Cloud program window displaying the current status of the installation process.
  4. Once the installation process is complete, the selected Adobe Inc. product will be available to use.
