This guide is to help end users replace cards and ribbons for the new Evolis ID Printers. After following these steps, if you still need assistance, please email or call the HelpDesk.

Instructions
The following is information/steps about the ID Cards:
1. New blank ID cards are placed in the top hopper as shown with the labels. The hopper lifts from the bottom by squeezing the sides and pulling up.
2. Insert the cards with the mag stripe down on the right hand side.
3. If the ID cards get discharged due to an error, they will be in the bottom compartment below the hopper. If they are blank, they can be placed back into the hopper to be used.
4. ID Cards will come out the back end of the printer when completed.
The following are steps on how to replace the Printer Ribbon:
5. Press down on the ribbon chamber to pop the lid up then open it completely.
6. Load the printer ribbon with the ribbon rolling over on top of the rollers.
7. The larger spool side of the ribbon goes towards the front of the printer in the grooves. The smaller spool side goes towards the lamination module.
The following are steps on how to replace the Laminator Ribbon:
8. Press on the side of the lamination module in the center below the power button.
9. Instructions on the inside of the door flap show how to install the laminator ribbon. The path it takes is circled in red. The ribbon will flow over the top for both ends just like the Printer ribbon does but dip down to go under the middle piece.
10. It is important to make sure when installing the laminator ribbon, you have the ribbon past the black tab. The ribbon MUST be on the silver metal bar only or it will cause a jam.
11. Be sure to press the ribbon in until you hear/feel the click on both sides of the ribbon spools. To remove the ribbon simply pull the ribbon cartridge straight out at the same location on the red arrows.
You have now successfully completed installing both the Printer and laminator cartridges!
After each 1000 cards printed, the printers need to be cleaned. Please submit a ticket to the Help Desk to have a Field Tech come and clean the printer for you when that time arrives.
