Application/Service/Description
A new, unified login experience for shared Mac computers allows anyone to securely log in and sync their data.
Version (Optional)
2.45.1
Instructions
Starting in summer 2025, shared-use Mac computers such as those in computer labs or adjunct faculty offices will see a new login experience that embeds the college’s unified login screen. This is provided by a utility known as Jamf Connect.

From here, simply log in using your full college email (with underscore) as you would on any other college resource, such as your email or PeopleSoft. You will be prompted for your password and multifactor authentication, and then an account will be provisioned for you on the device.
This first login may take a little longer, but subsequent logins to the same device will be faster.
Additional Information
If the computer is an admin device, such as those in adjunct faculty offices, and it was turned off completely after last use, you will get a standard macOS login screen instead.
To enhance the security of sensitive data, all admin devices are now secured with FileVault 2. This full-disk encryption solution requires a previously registered user to sign in on boot, so new users will not be able to sign in until the drive is unlocked. Typically, someone in the same area should already have an account on the computer. They should be able to sign in at the FileVault screen and then log back out to return to the Jamf Connect login screen.
Please note that the FileVault login screen is not network-connected, so if you have changed your password from another device since last signing in to this computer, you will need to use your old password and then resync them when prompted upon finishing boot. If no registered users are available, you have forgotten your password, or you have other difficulties logging in, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
