Application/Service/Description
Get assistance with setting up to print to the Ricoh MFDs from your Mac.
Version
macOS 13 "Ventura" and later
Instructions
When you print from a Mac for the first time, or after changing your password, you will get a dialog asking you to authenticate:

There are two key things to note here. First is that the username that is in the “Name:” field by default may not be the correct one. You will need to use the short form of your college login. For all students and most employees this will be your student/employee ID number, but some employees who started before 2017 may have what is often called a “6+1” instead, which is the first six letters of your last name followed by your first initial (e.g. Freddie Falcon’s would be “falconf”).
The password is straightforward: just use your normal Daytona State account password, as you would use to log in to MyDaytonaState or your email.
You will also want to check “Remember this password in my keychain” to avoid being prompted every time you print (unless you would prefer that to be the case, most likely on a device that logs in automatically such as some lab computers).
If you have changed your password and notice that your prints are not going through, but are not being prompted for a new password, check the status of the print queue in System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Ricoh-Follow-Me-Print > Printer Queue...

If you are seeing a message that says “Hold for Authentication”, click on the little refresh arrow with a lock icon and you should get the same password prompt from above. Enter your new password, make sure the username is correct and “Remember this password in my keychain” is checked, and you should be set for another 90 days (give or take).
